Yuen

I have been looking for a Chinese restaurant for ages in Salzburg, you see, I have a best friend who is Chinese and I take pride in knowing my Chinese food very well. Unfortunately in Salzburg the more places I have been the more "European" the food got.

Not that there is anything wrong with that, "European Chinese food" is still delicious, but I just really missed the authentic Chinese food I got at my friends' house. That is until you guys told me about Yuen.
I was skeptical, because being in the heart of the old town, it was sure to be a bit touristic, but I was super surprised! One of the first things I noticed was the huge amount of vegan options on the menu, I am not a vegan myself, but any place that is inclusive to all is a good place in my books.
We settled on two appetizers and two mains, and again I was surprised. The appetizers were traditional but creative, and the mains were little explosions of flavors.
The restaurant itself is very charming and the service is extremely friendly. I am most definitely coming back!
Now I can not 100% voucher for its authenticity, but it was as authentic as I have found so far in Salzburg
