Stadtalm

The Stadtalm was one of the restaurants I stumbled upon during my exploratory walks when I first moved here. With an impressive view and situated atop Mönchsberg, I didn’t even dare sit down, as i was sure it would be too expensive.

About a year later, when a friend came to visit, I saw it as a perfect opportunity to splurge and decided to take him there. I was extremely surprised to discover that the prices were not only on par with the rest of the city but, dare I say, even a little cheaper than some of the tourist traps in the old town. So yes, I knew I had found a hidden gem.

I've already mentioned the stunning view and the reasonable prices, so now let’s talk about the food! My favorite dish is the Cordon Bleu with Gorgonzola, but I’ve tried various dishes over the years and have never left disappointed.

This is the ideal spot to stop by on your walk, whether you want to impress someone or simply enjoy the beautiful view by yourself. It is definitely worth a visit!
