Ma Makers
As I didn’t know how many seats they had and I wanted to go on a Sunday, I thought it was a good idea to reserve, and I am happy we did, because the small, minimalistic, but tastefully decorated coffee shop was full the whole time we were there.
Now to the food: their concept is simple but regional ingredients, and I was very surprised by how well it translated into their food. We had the Sweet Sourdough Toast and the Danish Breakfast, and at first impression, the food looked beautiful but it really is simple: a piece of toast, with mascarpone and graised Pears, and toast with butter, cheese and eggs, if I am being totally honest it really made me question the price.
But as soon as I had the first bite, I got it. You can literally taste every single ingredient in this toast, from the glazed pears to the mascarpone to the toast itself, nothing is ordinary or made short of excellence. The same goes for the Danish breakfast, the self-made butter, the jam, the cheese, and the simplicity of it added up to just really great food kind of blew my mind a little.
I added up a piece of banana bread to it, and yes, I totally get what the hype is all about!
