Levantine Taste

I found Levantine taste by complete accident, a friend said he had been and it was great, so we decided to go have a look, thinking it was a normal restaurant, so we were completely surprised when we got there to find a take-out Imbiss. We were greeted by the owner, Saad who was so nice that we decided to order anyway and eat at home. We were not disappointed.

On a first impression, Levantine is a simple Imbiss, up until you start noticing the Fallstaff nods, 2022 and 2023, three flowers for takeout. I asked to look at a menu, Saad asked us if we were Veggie or vegan, as I answered with a no he said don’t worry about a menu, I will make a plate for you. There were three of us, and he said he would give us a plate for two people but add a little extra from his side, We were down for it. He asked if it was our first time eating there, and we said yes so he said everybody gets a free drink on their first order, we only had to get it from the fridge. We were more than hooked.

I know some people go to restaurants solely for the food, but I personally go for the experience, and this is the kind of place I would go back to even if the food turned out to be okay ( not the case). Saad was so friendly, that we felt at home, in this small Imbiss. He is the example that you don’t need a fancy restaurant to make something extraordinary, and let me tell you his food was extraordinary!

Firstly, the plate was huge, he kept on adding things to it: Falafels, Shawarma, Okra in tomato sauce, it never stopped. He handed us two heavy bags and said that he had a full satisfaction or money-back guarantee, and he couldn’t wait to hear back from us. Now, I will add, it was not a cheap meal, but considering that we could easily have fed one or two more people, and the quality of the food was mind-blowing, it was not an expensive meal either (does that make sense?).

Levantine offers catering and a diverse menu, from single Shawarma rolls to plates, Vegan, and Veggie options, there is definitely something for everyone! And with the certainty that only someone who knows how good their food is can offer: you will either love this food, or you get your money back.
