Das Köchelverzeichnis is a new wine bar in the very charming Steingasse, run by Thomas and Max, and it is going to become one of your favorite date spots in town.

Everything about this wine bar spells atmosphere: the location is cozy and it sits inside a mountain. The tables are decorated with old-school candle holders, and everywhere you look there is wine. And that is only the beginning of the experience.

Max, who is originally from Salzburg, will greet you with a shy but extremely genuine smile. If you are not a wine connoisseur, don't worry. Max really knows his wine and will gladly help you pick the perfect one. In case you like everything as we do, you will just have to keep coming back.

Max has over 80 types of wine, mostly from Austria. You can buy bottles, and glasses, or book a wine tasting, all paired with a great antipasti plate to share. Imagine fluffy bread, with lean prosciutto, salami, marinated veggies, and homemade butter. The butter... I will be coming back just to have more butter, and I am not even embarrassed to admit it!

If you go overboard with the wine, you can also get one choice of warm meal that is always vegetarian, and dessert. In our case: Asparagus ravioli, and a mascarpone, cherry, chocolate piece of heaven.
