Take The A-Train 2023

08.09.2023

This was the first event I attended when I moved to Salzburg six years ago, I stumbled upon a small concert at Hotel Europa by accident on a food run and I just sort of slipped in.

Fast forward to today, and we're celebrating the ninth edition of TTAT! This year's edition offers a whopping 30 events, including 21 free concerts, spread across 15 unique locations in the vibrant and diverse train station area, Elisabeth Vorstadt.

The program is super diverse and rich, it offers different music styles and experiences, and as Jürgen Vonbank, one of the organizers puts it: "We will have the chance to see acts for the first time in Salzburg that will surely accompany us for a long time."

But in my opinion, this festival is especially relevant for the city of Salzburg because of its social impact. In a city where the Festspiele manages to move billions of Euros in sponsorship and revenue, it is a small budgeted festival such as TTAT that ensures culture is accessible to everyone. "We are aware that around the station area, we find people who are on the fringes of society, those people should not be displaced here, but instead they should have the opportunity to consciously enjoy a high-quality, cultural program." - Jürgen Vonbank

So, whether you're planning to hit the main stage at Hauptbahnhof or prefer the more intimate sessions like Velorap, rest assured that TTAT festival has your back with good music, great company, and an evening that's bound to be an absolute blast!
