Pride Festival 2024

published on 26.08.2024

Just like last year, HOSI has curated the perfect program to bring people together. From bike rides and cooking classes to drag shows, discussion events, and pub quizzes—you name it, there’s a Pride event for it.

There are only a few days left until Pride, and Christmas will have to step aside because, for me, this is the happiest week of the year. Last year, we sat down with Conny to talk about Pride in Salzburg and why it remains such an important event. Her biggest wish was to burst the beautiful and colorful, but sometimes isolating, bubble of the LGBTQIA+ community and build a bridge with society.

As I was writing this post today, that sentiment has never felt more relevant. In the polarizing times we live in, where more and more people hide behind screens to voice strong opinions on social media, meeting and talking in person has never been more crucial.

Just like last year, HOSI has curated the perfect program to bring people together. From bike rides and cooking classes to drag shows, discussion events, and pub quizzes—you name it, there’s a Pride event for it. All of these aim to create opportunities for dialogue, reducing prejudices and fears. So whether you’re part of the community, a supporter, or just curious, show up in person. Talk, ask questions, have discussions—but most importantly, participate. Everyone has the need and wish for respectful interaction, and honestly, that shouldn’t be something you have to fight for.
