Flausch at Toihaus
Experiencing Flausch
A few weeks ago, I was invited to watch Flausch at Toihaus, and let me tell you—it was such a lovely experience that I just had to share it with you!
Flausch is described as a music and performance piece for anyone over the age of 1. My baby? He's 11 months old (but who’s counting, right?). So, on a gray Sunday morning, we bundled him up and headed to the show—and the whole experience was pure magic.
From the moment we arrived, it felt welcoming. We met other little ones right away, which already put me at ease. Everything at Toihaus is thoughtfully designed with tiny guests in mind. Before entering the stage area, we took off our shoes, and inside, we discovered cozy seating and a cuddle zone on the floor, perfect for snuggling up with your mini theatergoers.
The only "rule" is that kids aren’t allowed to go on stage—but their giggles, tips, and every little expression of wonder? Totally encouraged.
I was amazed at how focused my notoriously wiggly 11-month-old (who usually only plays with a toy for five minutes max) was throughout the entire show! The beautiful dancing by Kim Ceysens, paired with music from Benjamin Lageder and Martina Weninger, captivated both of us. Flausch is an absolute must-see for big and small alike.
Sadly, Flausch is currently sold out—but don’t worry! Toihaus has an amazing program dedicated to the littlest audiences. Be sure to check out what’s coming up, and plan your next cozy family outing.
